Major additional update available for Pixel devices
We wrote on Wednesday about major issues the January update brought to Pixel devices. Google released the January security update for the Pixel 8 and newer earlier this month. However, since then, a group of users reported experiencing problems with connections, such as WiFi and Bluetooth. Other problems also came to light. Now Google seems to have rigged a rescue operation. Namely, a massive update is being rolled out for the Pixel 7a and newer.

In the case of the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, the update is a hefty 3.31GB in size. This is unprecedentedly large for a security update. The update will be available for devices that have previously received the January update, as well as those that have not yet received this update. Other models will also be offered such a large update.
A changelog detailing the improvements and tweaks made by Google has not yet been shared. Such a size suggests that Google has rebuilt the system, so to speak, and addressed more issues. The update is rolling out to every user as of now. If you have not yet received notification of the update, you can manually check for updates via the system settings.
