Fairphone 4 update is withdrawn
Last week, a new update for the Fairphone 4 was released. In it, the top 2021 device received software version FP4.QREL.15.15. In the following days, reports from users about problems with the update appeared. The update caused several users to find that the Fairphone 4 no longer wanted to boot after installing this software version.
The Dutch manufacturer has since responded to the reports and says that the rollout of the update has been paused. In doing so, the company says: "After the initial release, we identified some unexpected issues. To ensure the best experience for all our users, we have currently paused the rollout and our team is investigating the issues."
Once this investigation is complete, a new update will be developed, and the company will share the full release notes, the company reports.
