March security update
A new month, a new security update. Google has released the March 2026 security update for the Android operating system. This update again addresses some vulnerabilities in the Android system. These can be critical vulnerabilities as well as minor ones.
Like any security patch, this one actually consists of two parts, subdividing between 1 March and 5 March. The first part contains patches for 63 vulnerabilities, while the second part contains 66. With this, the March security update contains a total of 129 patches. Among these are leaks described as critical.

For Pixel devices, the update is being rolled out from now on, combining it with March's Pixel Feature Drop. In the coming time, manufacturers will optimise the update for their devices. If you get the update rolling in on your Android device, be sure to let us know. We will then include your post in our coverage. Send us an email, with a screenshot, to redactie@droidapp.nl. Our thanks are great!
