Android 17 Beta 2 released: this is new

Google has released a new test version of Android 17. The new update brings the version number to Beta 2. A lot of bug fixes and several new features have been implemented with this update.

Google released Android 17 Beta in February. Now it is time for the second beta version. This new version includes a series of functionality improvements and bug fixes. As of now, the update is being distributed to participants in the beta programme with a Google Pixel 6 or newer. There are some new features. For instance, you can now choose a tile in the quick settings for satellite communication. Also, backup, accounts and passwords have been combined into one option in settings: 'Accounts and Backup'.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold

The privacy indicators shown at the top of the screen have been updated slightly and the contacts pager has been updated. On large-screen devices, you can work with bubbles for apps and there is a new Eyedropper API to request a colour. Apart from that, the update also gets a large number of improvements in terms of bug fixes. We list those for you below.
