Xiaomi 16 Pro Max with second display?
Today, we wrote about the new Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro announcement, scheduled for 24 September. Now rumours are already circulating about a new smartphone series from the brand. The new Xiaomi 16 series is said to include the new Xiaomi 16 Pro Max. This new phone is now showing up in the rumour circuit.
If the rumours and photos are true, the phone will get back an old familiar feature. A few years ago, the Xiaomi 11 Ultra appeared, featuring a second screen in the camera module. Judging from the information known so far, the new Xiaomi 16-series phone will also get this feature, so Xiaomi has been working on a return of the feature.
Leaker Ishan Agarwal mentions the return of the feature, but we unfortunately have yet to see it working. So, it is also possible that Xiaomi is opting for the Apple-style design language and thus the second screen will be omitted. The second screen could let you mirror the camera image, for example, but also show the time and date, offer a media player and let you take calls.
Whether we will indeed see the feature back on the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max, that remains to be seen, but the rumour mill is turning in the meantime!
