Xiaomi 15T Pro preview
Today marked the announcement of the new Xiaomi 15T and the Xiaomi 15T Pro. Both models build on the strength of the Xiaomi 15, although the Xiaomi 15 Ultra still remains the most advanced model. The manufacturer opts for a new design with an aluminium frame, and a design of what it says is glass fibre for the body. The glass is extra scratch-resistant, and the camera in particular gets extensive attention during the announcement.

We were already able to take a quick look around the German city with the new Xiaomi 15T Pro, and so we can already give you a first impression. Good to know is that at the time of writing, our test device is running Android 15 with HyperOS 2.0. Our device will still be updated with the update to Android 16 with HyperOS 3.0 before the review is published, the same version that the retail version will also be released with. Therefore, tweaks here and there and things may still look different. Today, we found out all the details about HyperOS 3, which features several new things.

In terms of interface, we won't go into too much detail about the device, as it is similar to other models from Xiaomi, although we will see HyperOS 3 in the final version. You can read our findings, for instance, in our extensive Xiaomi 15 Ultra review and the review of the Xiaomi 15. The smartphone feels solid, although you may well find it a bit on the large side. However; truly compact devices are fairly rare. We got the device in the silver colour, which is neatly finished with curves on the frame. This makes the device comfortable to hold.

What matters most, of course, is the device's camera. In Munich, we took pictures on a cloudy day, but still with the 'older' software version. For the comprehensive Xiaomi 15T Pro review, we will of course wait until the update is available for us and see if it brings any changes. With the Xiaomi 15T Pro's camera, you have 5x optical zoom, 10x zoom with optical quality and 20x ultra zoom. This allows a range of 15mm to 230mm. With other devices, Xiaomi already managed to convince with its camera. The Xiaomi 15T Pro also seems to have that in it, and so we will be taking a close look at that in the coming time.

As mentioned, we will be working extensively with the Xiaomi 15T Pro in the near future, with the new software. We are very curious about the device's camera, which already seems to deliver very interesting photos. You will soon find the review of the Xiaomi 15T Pro on DroidApp!
