WhatsApp is working behind the scenes on a new feature. A feature now in development will make it possible to chat with someone who does not have WhatsApp. Exactly how this works will become clear after new reports.
Chatting via WhatsApp, without WhatsApp
You would think that you can only WhatsAppen if you have an account. Until now, that is also the case. But it is quite possible that this is about to change. The latest beta version of the messaging service talks about a guest mode. This will make it possible to communicate with others while the person does not have a WhatsApp account. The information about this is shared by WAbetainfo.

But how does it work? If you want to chat with someone who does not have WhatsApp, you can invite them to such a conversation using a unique link. Through the link, the person can chat without WhatsApp, without having to create an account or download WhatsApp as an app. The suspicion is that this runs through a WhatsApp Web-like environment.
WhatsApp will have several restrictions if chatting via this route, though. This means no photos, videos, files or GIFs can be shared. Also, voice calls and video calls are not possible in these guest conversations. It is not known when the functionality will finally become available.
