Cover photo for WhatsApp coming soon
Apart from a profile picture, it will soon also be possible to set a cover photo for WhatsApp. Indications of this have surfaced in the latest beta version of the messaging service. This means that the feature is being worked on, but it may take some time until the functionality becomes permanently available in the application. We are already familiar with setting up such a photo from Facebook, for example. It is a horizontal photo that will be displayed on your profile page. The feature is already available for businesses with a WhatsApp Business account, but now it is coming to the 'regular user' as well.
Setting a cover photo allows you to personalise your profile even further. It is not known when the update adding the 'banner photo', as it is also called, will be released. What is clear, however, is that users can set who can see the cover photo. Here, you can choose everyone, your contacts or no one.
