Waze requires more recent Android version
Waze has released an update to version 5.10. The new version of the navigation app ensures that the application no longer works with older versions of Android and iOS. While the new version doesn't bring much new in terms of functionality, other than performance improvements, there has been an important change underneath. Namely, the navigation app no longer works with older Android versions.

As of now, navigation app Waze only works on devices with Android 10 and newer. This means that Android 9 Pie and older are no longer supported by Waze. If you own an iPhone, then it's good to know that your device must run on iOS 16 or higher from now on. While the change may affect several users, the question is whether you should still want to actively use a device running Android 9 Pie. Many of these devices will also no longer have security updates recently rolled out, and thus the security of the device may be at stake.
