April update from Telegram
Telegram is a worthy competitor to the likes of WhatsApp. The service regularly adds new features to the application, and is doing so now. One of the most notable additions is the built-in AI text editor. As you type a message, you can have it rewritten, corrected or translated. Useful if you want to quickly create a neat text or communicate in another language. You can even choose from different styles, from formal to playful. Everything runs on Telegram's proprietary AI system, where the company says privacy is key. For example, you can choose a viking writing style, a biblical text or shorten it.

Polls also get a major upgrade. You can now add media and locations to questions and answers, and add extra explanations to a poll. In addition, others can suggest new answer options and you can set whether people can vote again. You can even hide results until a certain point in time. This makes polls more versatile, e.g. for quizzes or group decisions. Another new feature is that you can get notifications when voting in polls and all polls can be conveniently found in a separate tab within groups and channels.
On the media front, Telegram introduces support for live and moving photos. You can choose how such an image is played back: once, repeating or in with a 'bounce' effect. For those who like to experiment with automation, there are new bot options. You can now easily create your own bots, without programming knowledge. Moreover, bots can create and manage other bots.
If you use Telegram on iPhone, you now get a built-in document scanner you can use. With it, you scan documents directly through the camera, after which they are automatically cropped and converted to a PDF file. You can still make manual adjustments while scanning.
Finally, Telegram adds an extra security notification. If you see someone using an unofficial app, you'll get an alert about it. This way, you know that communication may be less secure.
The rollout of the update for Telegram is now spreading. If you use Telegram, do you already follow the DroidApp channel?
