Spotify gets AI DJ
Users of music service Spotify will be handed a new feature in the near future: AI-DJ. With this personal music assistant, Spotify wants to help you with a new way of listening to music. The DJ combines recommendations with spoken interpretation. This then covers songs, artists and genres, for example. According to Spotify, these lyrics are spoken by a realistic AI voice.
With AI-DJ, you will be presented with an automatically continuous mix of your music. Not only does this show you new releases, but it also looks at your own old favourites that you haven't heard in a while. AI is used to compile this list. The system is self-learning and takes your preferences into account, making recommendations that suit you better. If you are not satisfied with the mood, you can tap the DJ button at the bottom right to switch genres, artists or moods.
The Spotify AI-DJ is rolling out to Premium users from now on, but first to beta users. When the final version will be available is not known. When the feature is available, you will get to find the AI-DJ on the home screen.
