Sony WH-1000XM6
Sony came out with the new Xperia 1 VII this week, now Sony's new headphones are official: the Sony WH-1000XM6. The manufacturer comes out with the Sony WH-1000XM6, making a successor to the previously released Sony WH-1000XM5. The headphones are usually very well received due to their very good active noise cancellation and good sound quality. The Sony WH-1000XM6 reportedly features the most advanced noise cancelling to date, with intelligence algorithms and a new chip. The headphones are equipped with 30mm drivers for the best sound.

Convenient again is the foldable design and magnetic case closure. The foldable design disappeared with its predecessor, but now returns. This makes it easy to store, and also easy to grab again. The wider headband should look for extra comfort. Thanks to '6 beam forming' AI microphones, call quality should also be even clearer. These include six microphones on each side, bringing the number of microphones to 12. The new headphones again support Fast Pair, so you can quickly pair them with an Android device. Along with that, there is support for the Google Assistant, and will soon be Gemini.
Returning to the foldable design for a moment; you can fold the ear cups into the rest of the frame for compact storage. You can both fold and rotate the hinge. The product is made of recycled plastic. The 250-gram Sony WH-1000XM6 comes in black, silver and blue. There is support for High-Resolution Audio (Wireless), LDAC, Edge-AI and DSEE Extreme, as well as LE Audio and Auracast. The Sony Sound Connect app lets you tune the perfect sound for yourself.

A new feature Sony mentions is Scene-based Listening. Through this new feature, sensors are used, to automatically play music based on your activities. This includes tuning the degree of noise reduction. The battery recharges in 3.5 hours. This lets you listen for up to 30 hours with ANC on and 40 hours with ANC off. If you make calls with it, the battery life comes out to 24 and 28 hours respectively.
The Sony WH-1000XM6 is available from now on for a suggested retail price of 450 euros. You can order it directly at Coolblue.
