Samsung's own patches for January update
Monthly security updates are released for the Android system. This is now also the case in January, with Google previously releasing the January security update. We wrote on Monday that the Galaxy A34 is the first smartphone to be offered this update. Samsung will also roll out the update for several other devices in the near future. Before that happens, the manufacturer will first share details about the content the its own update.

In total, Samsung is adding 30 more patches of its own, on top of Google's. Several of these are high-priority, but a critical one is not among them. In Samsung's case, these include patches in the One UI interface and in the company's own apps. Other parts of hardware and software may also be addressed. This month, the patches mainly address issues in the background.
Samsung will update necessary devices to the January patch in the coming weeks. If you get the update, we would love to hear from you. Send us an email, with a screenshot of the update notification, to redactie@droidapp.nl. We will then include it in the post!
