Galaxy Watch 7: One UI 8 Watch update
A new update is rolling out for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7. Users of the smartwatch that came out last year, One UI 8 Watch is available. This new version brings innovations and improvements, which we also saw on the Galaxy Watch 8. We previously reviewed the brand's latest smartwatch in detail in the Galaxy Watch 8 review.

With the new update, you will now find the Now Bar feature that you can also recognise from your Galaxy smartphone, provided your device runs on Android 15 or higher. Samsung has continued to work on new health features, as well as improvements on reminders and notifications. The latest update makes it easier to manage daily tasks and notifications directly from your watch. The new Now Bar lets you see your ongoing tasks at a glance, while the double pinch allows for quick control of functions such as music, notifications and camera. Reminders can now be marked as important, and while charging, new animations clearly show battery level and time remaining. Notifications have also become clearer: they are stacked by app and you can use smart settings to control whether they appear on your phone, your watch or both.
There are also improvements for health and personalisation. The running coach and bedtime guidance in Samsung Health help you get into a healthier routine, and the new Mindfulness feature supports relaxation and stress reduction. In terms of personalisation, you can more easily find a suitable watch face or even create your own tile with information from different apps. You now also see recommended watch faces and apps based on your usage, and you can set which calendars are shown on your watch.
