Samsung withdraws Android 16 update on Galaxy S23 series

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series has been updated with the update to Android 16 for a short while now, yet this pleasure is only short-lived. The update to Android 16, featuring One UI 8, has been withdrawn by the brand. What's going on?

Android 16 withdrawn

Last week, the update to Android 16 was briefly withdrawn for the Galaxy S22 series already, and now this is also the case for the Galaxy S23 series. Incidentally, for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the final update also still seems to be unavailable.

For the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the update has already been made available, but its rollout has been halted by the South Korean manufacturer. Interesting, considering that the rollout was started three weeks ago. So a large group of users already have the new update.

If you are already running the update, there is nothing wrong as far as we know. If you haven't gotten the update yet, you will have to wait a bit longer until you can get it in. What caused the update to be withdrawn is not known.

If you have Android 16 on your Galaxy S23 and notice any problems, we would love to hear from you. Leave a comment below this post.
