Samsung has published details about the content of its own May update. The patch from Google already makes a lot of improvements, Samsung itself adding 20 more.
Galaxy gets May update with more fixes
Last week, we wrote about security update May 2025. This is now being rolled out to Pixel models. In the coming weeks, more devices will be offered this update. Manufacturers are usually also still working on their own improvements for the update, with patches specific to their own devices. Samsung has shared details about the content of its own patch update. A total of 20 more patches are also being added by Samsung itself.

Looking at the things Samsung has addressed, it is notable that they are not huge security leaks. We see a patch for settings, related to using the S Pen and the Galaxy Watch. The list goes on to show improvements to things that have been updated in the background, making everything look better again.
At the moment, the update has not yet rolled out for any Galaxy device. If you get offered an update on your smartphone, we would love to hear from you! Send us an email, with a screenshot, to redactie@droidapp.nl. Then we'll include it in the coverage!
