Over The Horizon ringtone for 2026
It is a tradition of Samsung to revamp its own 'Over The Horizon' ringtone with the arrival of a new Galaxy S smartphone. This is also the case this year. This year, Samsung chose to invite the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. They performed this new version of 'Over The Horizon'. This year's version bears the name 'A Soundtrack of the Earth', reflecting the familiar Samsung tones.
In the 2026 version, which will be found first on the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, announced this week, the melody is inspired by the beauty of nature. It is also meant to depict the coexistence between technology and planet. The arrangement was provided by composer and pianist Eunike Tanzil and the piece was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. You can find the new version of the ringtone in the video above. The 'making-of' can be found below.
Through the years
The ringtone has continued with the familiar tones for years, but its performance varies quite a bit from year to year. With the Galaxy S23 series, for instance, Samsung opted for a very different style than what it does now. Earlier, we shared a video with you, where we listed the different variants from the Galaxy S, up to the Galaxy S10. You can watch that video below.
