'Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro is on the way: power of the Ultra, without S Pen'

The Samsung Galaxy S series is most likely to be expanded with a new model. The first reports about the Samsung Galaxy S27 series are now coming in. The new Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro will get the power of the Ultra, but will appear without an S Pen.

Will there be a Galaxy S27 Pro?

It looks like Samsung is going to expand its Galaxy S series. According to new rumours, the company is working on an additional model: the Galaxy S27 Pro. This would soon make the series consist of four devices.

The Galaxy S27 Pro would have a place between the Galaxy S27 Plus and the Galaxy S27 Ultra. That means you will soon have four models to choose from: the standard S27, the S27 Plus, the new S27 Pro and the S27 Ultra. With this set-up, Samsung is more in line with Apple's strategy, which also has four models in its iPhone range. Last year, there were also rumours about the Galaxy S26 Pro for quite some time, but that device ultimately did not come.

What makes the Galaxy S27 Pro interesting is the expected hardware. According to rumours, this model will get many, or even almost all, of the specifications of the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Privacy Screen is also said to be on the cards for the device. Think the same performance and possibly similar camera technology. There would be one key difference, though: the S Pen is missing.

The idea behind this model seems clear. Samsung wants to offer you an alternative to the Ultra, but without all the extras, and possibly in a more compact size. While the exact screen size is not yet known, it is obvious that the Pro version will be smaller than the Ultra. That would make it attractive if you want top performance but not necessarily a big device. Apple offers this, for example, with the iPhone 17 Pro.

Many users are therefore hoping for a combination of the size of the standard S27 with the power of the Ultra. This would clearly set the Galaxy S27 Pro apart from the other models in the series. Little is yet known about the exact specifications. Details about the camera, processor and battery are missing for now. However, there are already rumours about the Galaxy S27 Ultra, such as a new 200-megapixel main camera and an Exynos 2700 chipset.
