Headaches caused by Galaxy S26 Ultra screen?
Shortly after the market launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, reports are pouring in about eye problems and headaches after using the device. According to their own reports, they have suffered from eye strain and headaches since owning the device. Some users claim that the new Privacy Display is the cause of this.

Earlier, 'insider' Tarun Vats reported that he noticed a big difference between the screen of the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra. After trying the device, his eyes felt tired and slightly uncomfortable. In recent times, more reports have appeared online about the screen. On Reddit, several users report experiencing eye strain and headaches after using the Galaxy S26 Ultra screen. We also see this post on the Samsung Community. In addition, research by DroidApp shows that the reports are also returning on Tweakers' forum.

The exact cause remains some conjecture. The low pulse width modulation (PWM) of the screen is mentioned. A low PWM frequency often leads to the described problems in people sensitive to this. Reference is also made to the Privacy Display. Yet the complaints seem to occur even when the Privacy Display is switched off. Clearly, not every user of the Galaxy S26 Ultra notices these complaints, but it is unknown exactly how often the complaint occurs. Thereby, one person reacts differently to a screen than another user. But rarely do we see such a proliferation of reports about one device.
