Galaxy S26 Edge in renders
We expect to see a lot of rumours and reports about the Samsung Galaxy S26 series in the coming months. One thing that is already known is that the Plus model is being said goodbye. The standard S26 would also reportedly not appear. Instead, three smartphones would be released, each with its own feature: the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Galaxy S26 Edge can now be seen in renders from OnLeaks.

The source shares renders of the new device. While the source regularly gets it right, it is sometimes wrong too, so let's take it with a grain of salt. If the rumours are true, the device does look very reminiscent of Apple's iPhone design. Apple fans know that the design of the iPhone 17 series will change slightly, with a thicker block housing the camera module. We will see the same with the iPhone 17 Air, Apple's phone that will compete with the Galaxy S25 Edge, and possibly its successor.

At just 5.5 millimetres thick, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge would be even thinner than the current model, which is 5.8 millimetres thick. At the camera module, the phone will be at its thickest, where the thickness would come out to 10.8 millimetres. It may suggest that Samsung is working on larger camera sensors for the smartphone. According to reports, the device will get a 50-megapixel main camera. Samsung will of course provide the S26 Edge with another AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a battery capacity of 4200 mAh.
If rumours are true, the Galaxy S26 Edge will get Qi2 support with magnets, as we saw with the Google Pixel 10 series. It is possible that the device will get Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chipset, although it is also possible that in some markets the phone will appear with its own Exynos processor. The phone measures 158.4 x 75.7 millimetres. We won't know all the details until early next year at the earliest.
