Samsung is introducing a new watermark to use when taking photos’s. Remarkable; we know this layout and design from other brands such as Xiaomi and OnePlus. Samsung is now following suit with the new watermark on the Galaxy S25 series.
New watermark for Galaxy S25 series
The camera app offers different watermarks for Samsung devices. The watermark shows which phone shot the picture. It also shows the name, date and time. We know several elaborate watermarks from the likes of Xiaomi, Oppo and OnePlus. Samsung would now like to go a step further, by also offering this more elaborate watermark. Noted leaker UniverseIce shows an example, sharing that the watermark will be part of One UI 8. In doing so, it will become available not only for the Galaxy S25 series, but also on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, for example.

Samsung is said to offer two different watermarks. One for portrait photos and one for landscape photos. On Chinese brands, for example, we see the mention that the photo was taken with Hasselblad or Leica; the brands OnePlus and Xiaomi work with, respectively. Samsung does not post this; they do not collaborate with any other party. However, we do see the camera settings used on the watermark. It is not known if you have to shoot the photos directly with the watermark, or if you can still add the watermark afterwards.

The source further reports that Samsung is adding new colour profiles to the camera. A new Vivid mode should enhance colours and saturation. Again, we see this reflected in the watermark.
