Galaxy S21 FE gets Android 16
A new major update is ready for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. As of now, the device is offered the update to Android 16, along with One UI 8. We hear from Henk-Jan that his smartphone has been updated with this new update. The smartphone was announced in early 2022, and three years later it is time for the fourth Android update. Samsung released the Galaxy S21 FE with Android 12.
The update to One UI 8 and Android 16 brings several improvements and new features. Users get access to the Now Bar, and new animations for Samsung's Weather app, for example. In addition, Quick Share works even faster and you can choose from new backgrounds and clock styles. The security patch remains on the September one.
Sony Xperia 10 VII
The update to Android 16 is also coming for the Sony Xperia 10 VII, we hear from Dave. Here, too, we see the improvements Google itself added to Android 16. For example, you can now choose from different modes, where you can block notifications while driving, sleeping or while working, for example. When it comes to screen quality, you can choose from a new 'Recommended' option. Furthermore, you can turn on and off the Side Sensor more easily, you can access settings from the lock screen and there are some other minor improvements.
