Samsung Galaxy A56 gets August update first

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy A56 are the lucky ones to get the August update first. Samsung has started distributing the brand new Android security update in the Netherlands and Belgium, among other countries.

August update for Galaxy A56

The Samsung Galaxy A56 is updated with an update. Ruud emails us that his smartphone has been allowed to receive the very latest security patch. This makes the Galaxy A56 the first smartphone to be updated to security update August 2025. This new update has only just become available and is even yet to be rolled out for (most) Pixel devices by Google.

On top of Google's patches, Samsung is also adding its own. These relate to Samsung-specific issues. In addition, it is obvious that Samsung has also been working on bug fixes and optimisation improvements. This explains the rather large size of the update. Namely, it comes out to around 369.61MB.

You will get a notification when you can download the update on your smartphone. Through the settings menu, you can also manually check if updates are available. If you want to know everything about the Galaxy A56, read our extensive Samsung Galaxy A56 review.
