Samsung Browser in One UI 9
Samsung is planning new features for its own Samsung Browser, which will get an update with the arrival of One UI 9. Several AI features, improved multitasking and several other new features are in the works. Although Google Chrome is the most popular on Android, Samsung Internet is seen as an interesting alternative. With the new features, the brand aims to offer an even better alternative.
Multitasking with multiple windows
One of the most notable new features is support for multi-window browsing. This allows you to open multiple browser windows at the same time and, for example, view two websites side by side. Instead of constantly switching between tabs, it allows you to keep multiple pages in view at the same time.
On larger screens, this feature becomes even more extensive. On devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, you can open three browser windows simultaneously, according to initial images. This makes it easier to compare information or perform multiple tasks at once.

AI reading along while browsing
Samsung is also working on a feature called "Ask AI". This tool can analyse what you are looking at while browsing, and provide answers and suggestions based on it. The artificial intelligence does not just read the text on the screen, but extracts information directly from the browser itself.
That means data such as your browsing history may also be included. According to information from an early demonstration, though, you can set how long such activity data is kept. The AI tool appears to be based on technology from Perplexity AI and is said to work more like a system component than a standalone browser feature. Earlier, DroidApp conducted extensive research on 'What is the best AI service?'
Browsing between devices
A leaked version of the browser has also found a new option called "Cross Device Resume". This feature seems intended to transfer a browser window or even an entire browser session to another device. Exactly how this will work is not yet clear, but it could be similar to resuming activities on another device.
When is the update coming?
One UI 9's beta programme is expected to launch in May. The first devices to access the test version will be Samsung Galaxy S26 series models, followed by the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. However, these test versions are not expected in the Netherlands and Belgium.
The final version of the new interface is likely to be released later this summer, around the launch of new foldables such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8.
