Realme 15 and 15 Pro announced: refinement for chipset, battery and camera

While Realme is not a very big player here, it is different in other parts of the world. Nevertheless, you can also find Realme devices at Dutch shops. The subsidiary brand of Oppo now presents the Realme 15 and Realme 15 Pro.

Realme 15 and 15 Pro

Realme has announced two new smartphones. We are introduced to the Realme 15 and the Realme 15 Pro. The models offer improvements in camera, battery and performance. We list the details.

Realme 15 Pro

Both the Realme 15 and 15 Pro feature a hefty 6.8-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. This makes them ideal for scrolling, gaming or watching videos. The standard Realme 15 runs on the Dimensity 7300+ chipset, where the Pro variant has the more powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 on board.

In terms of battery life, improvements have also been made. The devices have a hefty 7000 mAh battery, which charges at 80W. In terms of design, there are also choices: you can choose from colours such as Velvet Green, Flowing Silver and (depending on the model) Silk Purple or Silk Pink. And despite the larger battery, the Pro in particular has remained quite slim with a thickness of just 7.69 mm.

Realme 15

The Realme 15 Pro's cameras have been revamped. You get three 50MP sensors: a main camera, a wide-angle lens and a selfie camera. The new Sony IMX 896 sensor should make for better photos, and the AI Edit Genie lets you apply smart edits directly in the gallery. The Realme 15 does have to make do with a simpler setup: the wide-angle camera there has been replaced by an 8MP sensor, but the primary and selfie camera remain 50 megapixels.

The Realme 15 starts at converted €240 for 8GB+128GB. The Realme 15 Pro starts at converted 286 euros and is available in versions up to 12GB+512GB. Information about a arrival in the Netherlands is not known.
