Poco F8 Pro and Ultra official
Less than a year after the introduction of the Poco F7 series, for which DroidApp travelled to Singapore, it is time for a new set of high-end smartphones from the Chinese manufacturer. The brand is launching the Poco F8 Pro and the Poco F8 Ultra. The devices look very different from its predecessors, as you can see in our Poco F7 Ultra review. Both devices offer speakers from Bose. The collaboration is evident at the back of the device, as it houses the woofer for the best sound quality. The Poco F8 Ultra's two speakers deliver a 2.1 setup. This is not the case with the Pro, but it does collaborate with Bose for sound quality.
Poco F8 Ultra
Poco supplies the Poco F8 Ultra with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset from Qualcomm, the high-end processor we also saw in the OnePlus 15. An improved vapour chamber should ensure good cooling. There is a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. The refresh rate is adaptive up to 120Hz. The fingerprint scanner is again in the screen here. There is a triple camera with three 50MP lenses. Besides a main lens and wide-angle lens, there is also a periscope lens with 5x optical zoom. Up front, there is a 32-megapixel front camera.
The Poco offers a metal frame, IP68 certification and, of course, eSIM support. The colours to choose from are black and denim blue. On board the Poco F8 Ultra is a 6500 mAh battery, which can be charged 100W wired or 50W wirelessly. The phone comes with Android 16 and, of course, HyperOS 3. The manufacturer promises four years of Android updates and six years of security updates.

Then there is also the Pro model. The Poco F8 Pro runs on the slightly older Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and has a 6210 mAh battery. It is capable of 100W fast charging. This device also offers IP68 certification, in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and eSIM support. There is a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full-HD+ resolution.
For taking photos, the smartphone is equipped with a 50-megapixel main lens, 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. The selfie camera is a 20-megapixel lens. The Poco F8 Pro also comes with four Android updates and six years of security updates. The colours in which the device will be available are black, blue and titanium silver.
Availability
The Poco F8 Pro gets a price tag that starts at 519.99 euros, while the Poco F8 Ultra comes at 699.99 euros. This is a lower price than its predecessor, as the Poco F7 Ultra was given a price tag of 779 euros. Poco is selling the devices online.
