November update for Pixel
The latest November security update, is rolling out for the various Pixel devices as of now. We see this reflected on the Pixel 10 Pro XL, but also hear from several readers, including Wim, who got the update in on the Pixel 9a. With the November update, Google is again addressing several vulnerabilities in the Android system.
But this update makes more changes. Namely, users will get the new Pixel Feature Drop November 2025. We already wrote about this last week, and here we see a lot of improvements and new features. These include summarising notifications, highlighting VIP person notifications with an extra colour and a special power-saving mode for Google Maps, for on the lock screen. There are also theme packs that you can download and use on your Pixel smartphone.
Earlier devices also get the Journal app and device status. Still, not every feature, is available for every phone. In our Feature Drop article, we show which devices, get which new feature. You can download the update from now on. You will get a notification of this, or you can manually check in the system with settings.
