OxygenOS 16
According to OnePlus, the company's latest skin represents an evolution in smartphone intelligence. That means we will see the necessary AI features in this skin as well. Among other things, the new OnePlus AI features, with Plus Mind, for example, is present in OxygenOS 16. We updated you on that earlier. This makes it possible to save content on the screen with a button, or a swipe, and then be analysed by AI. Also, you can save a voice note directly to your Mind Space. Furthermore, you will find more AI features. Think AI Writer and AI Portrait Glow. Too bad the functionality still generally does not work in the Dutch language.
AI
In OxygenOS 16, you'll find deep integration of Gemini, Google's AI assistant. It also works with Mind Space. Thanks to a smart pairing, you can ask, for example, which saved locations in Plus Mind, are a good tip to visit tomorrow with the upcoming weather forecast.
OnePlus has further worked on AI Writer, which allows it to help with text suggestions for emails, for example, but also for social media updates. With AI Scan, you can have your camera transform into a scanning tool for photographing/scanning documents, for example. With AI Recorder, you can take an audio recording, after which the speech is converted into text. There are also several other AI photos.
Interface
But there is more than AI. Namely, OxygenOS 16 offers refinements to the interface. We used the test version recently, and it can be seen that notifications now use app icons from the app itself. A smooth experience should be offered when switching between apps, multitasking and more. Through O+ Connect, you can enjoy integration with Mac and Windows, such as sharing your screen or viewing photos, videos or files stored on the phone. There is also integration for the Apple Watch.
OxygenOS 16 further offers new weather animations, visual effects and the lock screen has been improved. For this, you can use the Flux Theme 2.0, which adds a dynamic canvas with depth effects. This allows the clock design to be displayed more beautifully on the screen. We have added a screenshot of this to the article. Furthermore, you can flexibly scale app icons, widgets and folders to your liking. There are also the live notifications and security improvements have been worked on.
