Oppo Find N6
Successor to the Oppo Find N5, Oppo today presents the new Oppo Find N6, which you can open as a book just like its predecessor. Oppo aims to make sure you don't have to make any concessions, just like a normal phone. Among other things, work has been done to improve key placement, the manufacturer first reports. You can also use the Snap Key: a button you can personalise yourself.

Screen and design
The Oppo Find N6 features a 6.62-inch cover screen and is equipped with an 8.12-inch screen inside. Both screens have a variable refresh rate between 1-120Hz. IP56, IP58 and IP59 certified against heat, dust and water, the phone is made of aluminium, titanium and nanocrystal glass. The crease in the foldable screen is eliminated, and according to Oppo, you won't notice it (anymore). Imperfections are flattened, via 3D printing. This sets the device apart from many other foldables. The foldable screen has been tested more than 600,000 times for durability. In Barcelona, we already got to try the device. And to be honest: we see a lot of difference from its predecessor (the Find N5), but competitors often have an even less tangible fold.

If you opt for the Find N6, you can choose either the Stellar Titanium (silver) or Blossom Orange colour (orange), where we think the latter colour in particular looks very sleek. Orange devices score, as Apple also has an orange model in its iPhone 17 Pro range. The device is only 8.93 millimetres thick when closed. In doing so, it weighs 225 grams and has worked on flattened sides, making it comfortable to hold.
The new silicon-carbon battery technology is also found in the foldable. There is a 6000 mAh battery with support for 80W charging, or 50W wireless. The running power in the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Oppo reveals that work has been done to improve reception thanks to Fold Antenna Matrix.

Camera and software
It is again collaborating with Hasselblad for the camera. Much attention has gone into the revamped Cosmos Ring, or circular camera module. This module houses a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens. Oppo offers a 20-megapixel front camera both in the cover screen, and when unfolded. Filming can be done in 4K 120fps.
On the software front, things have also been improved. Namely, you can multitask with floating windows (floating window) and you can also use gestures for this. In addition, you can use a stylus on the Oppo: the Oppo AI Pen, which supports Bluetooth. In a case, three minutes of charging is enough for 60 minutes of use.

Availability
The previous foldables were not released in the Netherlands. Oppo announces that the new Find N6 will not come to Europe either. A shame as far as we are concerned, because in our eyes it is a formidable competitor to devices like the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold and, of course, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
