Android 16 rollout with Nothing OS 4.0 discontinued
In late November, Nothing began rolling out a major update for the Nothing Phone (3). That was the first device from the manufacturer to be updated with Android 16. That's not the only thing new with the update. In fact, Nothing has also presented a new skin for the devices: Nothing OS 4.0.
The rollout of the update has now stopped. While the update is now available to several users, and has also been installed, the rest of Nothing users still have to be patient. A user of the Nothing Phone (3) has contacted Nothing about this, revealing that the rollout has indeed stopped. The pause in the distribution of the update is necessary to fix a problem in the new software, the manufacturer informs.

It is unknown what exactly is going on, and what is causing the problems. Several reports are popping up on the internet, however, that there are several minor bugs in the software. These include the navigation bar disappearing, the correct display of hidden status bar icons and sometimes animations go wrong. It is possible that Nothiung has come across another bigger problem, but that remains conjecture.
