Motorola Signature
Motorola has kicked off the new year with new products, betting on the Motorola Signature; a new smartphone, with a new name. The device features a thickness of 6.99 millimetres, weighing 186 grams and an aluminium body, with a textile-inspired finish. Of course, it is again collaborating with Pantone for the colours. There is a Pantone Carbon colour (dark blue) and Pantone Martini Olive (brown). So, following on from the Motorola Edge 70, which we previously reviewed in detail in the Motorola Edge 70 review, comes a new thin device from the manufacturer.

The phone will receive updates for a period of 7 years. This includes security updates as well as Android updates. This is the first time Motorola has provided a smartphone with updates for that long. Also, there are additions for the software. The Concierge experience should help with hotels, travel tips, restaurants and more.
Motorola equips the new Motorola Signature with a triple-camera. This is a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens with a 122-degree angle of view and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with the option of 3x optical zoom. The front camera also counts 50 megapixels. On board the device you will find the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. There is 12/16GB of RAM available, along with 256GB/512GB/1TB of storage. The availability of these may vary by region. A new cooling system should ensure that the device stays cool when it is in high demand.

The Signature gets a 5200 mAh battery, a so-called silicon battery that has a higher energy density. It can be charged with 90W or 50W wireless. The smartphone also offers speakers that have collaborated with Bose for the best sound quality. Motorola provides the phone with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a high maximum brightness of 6200 nits. It offers a 165Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution.
The smartphone will be released this year, including in the Benelux, but a price and release date are not yet shared by Motorola.
