Different place for your private messages in Instagram
Instagram is not averse to experimenting with new features and options. Recently, 'Map' was newly added to the app. This lets you see photo locations, as well as see where your friends hang out who have the feature enabled. Another change is now forthcoming and it relates to DMs, or private messages in Instagram.

If you find the private message icon in the top right corner of the screen now, that will soon change. Instagram will place the icon, and thus the shortcut to go to your messages, at the bottom of the screen. It will then be located in the bar where you can already find various shortcuts. Currently, you'll find home, search, creating a post, reels and your profile page there. In the new interface, the search icon will make way for your private messages. Along with Reels, these are frequently used features , according to Instagram, and so they should be displayed more prominently.
When you see the change back, you can choose to reset the interface to how it was. So it's an optional choice, though it's not known if this will stay that way forever. The new view is Home, Reels, Posts, Search and your profile. Instagram reveals that in the future, it should become possible to swipe between different tabs.
