HyperOS 3
A new skin from Xiaomi has been announced: HyperOS 3. Dese new skin from the manufacturer is based on Android 16 and features several new features. Anyway, the brand has been working on Xiaomi HyperIsland, which in turn can be compared to the islands that OnePlus and Apple, for example, already offer. This lets you call up live activities directly at the top of the screen. Think a timer, a trip planner or, for example, the progress of your ordered meal.
HyperConnect makes it possible for everything to interact even more with other Xiaomi devices. For example, Touch Share lets you quickly share files with other devices, and you can unlock two devices simultaneously on one device. Other things like the clipboard are also synchronised between devices, as we know from other brands. Apple products can also be paired with your Xiaomi, allowing you to use the tablet as a second screen, for example, or display your phone's screen on the iPad. There is also wide integration of pairing with an Apple Macbook.
Smart AI is another pillar in HyperOS 3. Through text, speech, search and an image, AI can help you improve with various things. Smart AI's capabilities include writing texts in different styles. Just like the speech recorder can convert speech into text. Searching for files and photos in the phone and gallery is also improved.
In terms of personalisation, Xiaomi has been working on endless new lock screens, supporting so-called cinematic wallappers. Earlier we saw this with Apple. Xiaomi is also adding a new style of icons, shapes and icons to HyperOS 3. Of course, Gemini and Circle to Search are also back in HyperOS 3.
Update rollout
In the coming time, more devices will be updated to HyperOS 3, and the Xiaomi 15T series announced today will be immediately equipped with HyperOS 3. The devices that will be updated in the coming time are as follows:
