Huawei Watch GT 6 series
A new smartwatch series has been announced from Huawei. Today, we are introduced to the Huawei Watch GT 6 and GT 6 Pro. The company did this today in the French city of Paris. According to the manufacturer, a premium design should combine the comprehensive sports and health functions. The manufacturer claims that the Watch GT 6 series is perfect for those looking for freedom and convenience, during everyday use and outdoor activities. Earlier this year, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro was announced.
What is most important about the Huawei Watch GT 6 series is its long battery life. The GT 6 in 46mm and the GT 6 Pro should both last up to 21 days. For the 41mm variant, it is up to 14 days. Huawei has equipped the new smartwatches with better location tracking through its Sunflower positioning system, and this should provide highly accurate GPS data.
The main focus seems to be on the Huawei Watch GT 6. This new smartwatch features a screen capable of a whopping 3,000 nits, which means that no summer day is too much to ask. It also uses sapphire glass, titanium alloy and a ceramic back. You can choose from a 41mm or a larger 46mm version.
Especially for cycling enthusiasts, there is the Virtual Cycling Power function. This function can measure your cycling power, which is close to professional power meters in terms of accuracy. The function was developed based on thousands of simulations and wind tunnel tests. As a cyclist, it gives you real-time insight into your training intensity. There are also enhanced sports modes for trailrunning, skiing and golf.
Both watches offer the TruSense system. This combines data from your heart rate, HRV, sleep and emotion to give you the most complete picture of your health. Not only will you get notifications from this, but also advice on how to sleep better or reduce your stress, for example. Huawei offers the option to choose from more than 100,000 watch faces.

Other products
Huawei has announced other products, although the focus is less on these. The manufacturer is presenting new Nova 14 smartphones, with even more focus on the camera. However, these devices are less interesting for our country, as the phones come without Google services. Then there is the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 and Watch D2, which offer professional fitness and health data. For divers, these offer sonar-based communication and they can send an SOS signal up to 60 metres deep. The Huawei Watch D2 is nothing new, except that you can now choose from a blue colour.
There is also the Huawei MatePad 12 X, for which the same applies as for the Nova smartphones. New is the M-Pencil Pro, which should improve creativity. Finally, there is the Huawei FreeBuds 7i, with improved noise reduction. But more details are not shared by the brand.
