Faster translation in Translate
The Google Translate app is being improved with a new feature. Users will be able to translate even faster with a future version. You can choose between two modes: 'Fast' and 'Advanced'. A new pill-shaped icon at the top of the screen should let you switch between these two modes. Advanced translate promises high accuracy for complex translations, while fast mode is best used for quick translations. Incidentally, 'Advanced' is not available for all languages, Google reveals.

The design is somewhat reminiscent of Gemini. It is unclear if the new feature is available to everyone, or if it is part of Google AI Pro, as we see with more Google features. Google is rolling out the update as of now, but it does not yet seem to be available for the Android version of Translate. It would, however, already show up on the iOS version of Translate.
