Google Play Store gets handy 'open automatically' toggle

A handy feature is rolling out for the Google Play Store's Android app. When installing an application, you can now open an app automatically even faster. The feature will be available to all Android users.

Directly open after installation

The Google Play Store is getting a feature that lets you open an installed app directly after installation. Until now, after downloading an app, you had to look it up in the apps menu yourself. That is no longer necessary thanks to the new toggle Google has added to the Google Play Store app on Android. A toggle allows you to open an app directly as soon as it is installed.

While the button suggests that the app will open immediately, that is not quite the case. When the installation is complete, a notification tells you that the app will open in five seconds. The timer expires, and you can still cancel it if necessary. You can also open the app directly from the notification.

By default, the feature is disabled. The feature is being rolled out to every Android user.
