Pixel Watch 4

Google is pulling back the curtain on the Google Pixel Watch 4. In the rumour circuit, the watch has come up several times. Now we can share all the details of this smartwatch.

The Google Pixel Watch 4 features the so-called Actua 360 Display with 16% thinner screen bezels, a brightness of 3000 nits and 10 per cent more screen than its predecessor. With different straps, you can completely customise the watch to your liking. The same goes for the watchfaces that you can customise to your liking. The vibration motor is 15 per cent stronger, so you will be even better informed of things like notifications.

There will be two variants of the watch. These are a 41mm and a 45mm variant. Google promises a 25 per cent longer battery life. This should be 30 hours with the smaller model and 40 hours with the larger model. Also, you will achieve 3 or 4 days in battery saver mode, respectively. The new 'dock' allows you to charge the watch 25 per cent faster.

The Pixel Watch 4 should offer improved sleep tracking and a new generation of skin temperature measurement. There is also an improved Dual-Frequency GPS receiver so you can track your workout even more accurately. Many workouts can also be automatically recognised thanks to AI. Whether you start running or play tennis; a confirmation in a notification saves the completed workout directly to your Fitbit account. Through the Health Coach, you can also ask questions regarding your health; such as how to get better deep sleep. Gemini also returns to the Pixel Watch. Through AI, you can use voice commands by turning your wrist and it gives personalised answers. Other Gemini features are also present on the watch.

Google is releasing the watch at a price starting from 399 euros (41mm). If you want it with LTE support, you'll pay 499 euros. The larger 45mm model costs 449 euros as a WiFi version, with LTE the watch comes to a price tag of 549 euros.

Google's other new product is seen in an audio product; the Google Pixel Buds 2a. This new product features a similar design to the premium model. The improved acoustic design should ensure the best sound quality. Also, it is the first a-series model to offer Active Noise Cancellation, with the addition of Silent Seal 1.5.

Of course, Gemini is present and there is a maximum battery life of 7 hours, or 20 hours with the use of the case. Interestingly, the Pixel Buds 2a's battery is replaceable. Google is releasing the Pixel Buds 2a in Hazel and Iris colours. You will pay 149 euros for the new earbuds.

Both the Pixel Watch 4 and the Pixel Buds 2a will be available in the Netherlands from 9 October.
