End of story for Pixel 10 Pro Fold
The new Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold was announced with the introduction of several Pixel 10 devices. For instance, DroidApp published the extensive Pixel 10 Pro XL review, and we were very excited about this new smartphone from Google. Earlier this month, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold also appeared in the market. That phone also paid a visit to JerryRigEverything. The videographer is known for his videos testing the durability of devices. However, this goes beyond 'normal use'.
Among other things, it looks at how scratch-resistant the display is, and how quickly a device bends. On the latter part, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold fails to score many points. With considerable abuse, the device no longer pulls it, and the device explodes. After the explosion, a lot of smoke comes out of the phone. Zack says that with years of making videos, he has not experienced this with a phone before. Presumably, not only the phone bowed during the bend test, but also the battery. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold features two separate batteries.
Incidentally, it is worth noting that the videographer is acting improperly. Due to the toxic smoke, it is recommended to get the device outside as soon as possible. From instructions from the fire brigade in the Netherlands, it is further advised to call 112 immediately and leave the room where the battery fire is occurring.
