Google is coming out with a new version of its Google Home app. Thanks to new hints, we get to see the direction Google wants to take. For instance, it is working on a new design for the app.

A new design is on the way for the Google Home app. This appears from the code of the latest version, giving us a first look at the app. The screenshot below is shared by 9to5Google, which shows the old app on the left, the new one on the right. The bar at the top of the screen would possibly indicate Gemini integration for the 'Ask Home' option. Through a voice command, you can then control your smart home products. We see smaller icons for certain components and, of course, the Material 3 Expressive design.

Android Authority colleagues have delved even further into the code, sharing a picture of the welcome screen. Here, users will get to see details about the changes Google is making. Also notable is the mention of new products. For instance, Google is working on a new Nest Cam, Nest Doorbell and the Google Home Speaker. When these products will be announced is not yet known.
