Gemini 3.1 Pro announced: helps with solutions to complex problems

AI development is not standing still. Google is joining this ‘battle’ with Gemini. A new version of the AI assistant has now been announced: Gemini 3.1 Pro. This new version should help you with solutions to more complex problems, the company promises.

Gemini 3.1

Gemini is Google's AI tool. Last November, Gemini 3 was announced and now it is once again time for a new version: Gemini 3.1 Pro. According to the company, the new version is a step forward in core functionality. The 'enhanced core intelligence' that was added to Gemini 3 Deep Think last week is also directly available in Gemini 3.1 Pro from now on. The so-called ARC-AGI-2 score comes in at 77.1 per cent, meaning reasoning performance has more than doubled.

The reasoning benefits relate to the ability to solve new problems. According to Google, Gemini 3.1 Pro is designed for tasks where a simple answer is not enough. It can synthesise large data sets, perform technical analysis and structure and discovery, and get to work on complex research questions.

Gemini 3.1 Pro can encounter the new version in the Gemini app. Also, the functionality will become available in NotebookLM. For this, however, you need to have a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription.
