Motorola Q9
Today, you will know Motorola from its well-known smartphones. Think of the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra, the Edge series models such as the Edge 60 Pro or the Razr of old. Years ago, there was another smartphone already from the US manufacturer: the Motorola Q9. The device appeared in various versions, for different regions. So you could also come across the Q9c or Q9h, but the original Q9 Global was also available in the Netherlands.

With the Motorola Q9, there was a successor to the original Motorola Q. The device was supposed to be a particularly interesting phone for the business market, thanks to the presence of the full QWERTY keyboard under the 2.4-inch TFT screen. That screen offered a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Between the screen and the keyboard was still the navigation key and some other shortcut keys. The Motorola Q9 featured Windows Mobile 6.0. This included support for push email, among other things, and you could browse the Internet using the Opera browser.
Positive was the presence of GPS and Bluetooth and, of course, the keyboard. Less points scored the Motorola Q9 with the lack of WiFi and the limited 2.0 megapixel camera. The phone was equipped with an 1170 mAh battery, a single-core processor (325 MHz) and 96MB of RAM memory. You could expand the 256MB (yes, MB!) storage space with a microSD memory card.
On board was support for UMTS, and so you could access the 3G network. The price of the Motorola Q9 was somewhere between €300 and €400.
