Apple iPhone 5s
In our 'Forgotten' section, we have already discussed the necessary iPhone models, so today it is the turn of the Apple iPhone 5s. Released in the year 2013, this smartphone was Apple's first device to feature Touch ID. The phone was also the very first smartphone to feature a 64-bit processor, something we later saw with Android. Apple's smartphone was also the first iPhone to come out with a gold colour, called Champagne Gold. Other brands such as Samsung and Huawei also followed with gold colours. The iPhone 5s was also released in grey and white-silver. The Space Gray colour replaced the black colour, as it suffered too much from scratches and a detaching coating.

Apple provided the iPhone 5s with a 4.0-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels. There was an Apple A7 dual-core chipset with 1GB of working memory. For storage, you could choose from 16GB, 32GB or 64GB. The phone ran on iOS 7 and was kept up with updates for a long time; up to and including iOS 12.5.7. Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS were all present, as were facial recognition and FaceTime. NFC was not there; that only came with the iPhone 6.
For taking photos, the iPhone was equipped with an 8-megapixel camera, with a dual LED flash able to touch things up in darker environments. Filming could be done in 1080p. Charging could be done via Apple's familiar Lightning connector. There was a 1560mAh battery inside.

What was remarkable about the iPhone 5s was years in production, with the device still being widely sold in the cheaper segment after 2015. Also, the device was popular among the younger target group due to its small size. The design was used as the basis for the 2016 iPhone SE. The price of the device came to 509 euros for the 16GB version. For 50 euros more, you got the 32GB variant.
