Nokia 6151
Nokia has released an awful lot of devices. Although the brand briefly had a revival in the smartphone market, it has since bled to death. In our section 'The forgotten smartphone' and 'The forgotten phone', we regularly discuss a Nokia phone. Today it is the turn of the Nokia 6151. This phone appeared 20 years ago, in June 2006.

A truly iconic device, the Nokia 6151 was not so much. It was just a solid, reliable handset released at the time when 3G was emerging. In the Nokia 6XXX series, mainly devices were released with a business character. The phone featured GPRS and UMTS support. The phone had the familiar 'candybar' shape and was available in black, although other colour combinations could also be chosen.
The Nokia 6151 was equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, where pictures could be stored on the 30MB of storage, or on a microSD memory card. The Finns provided the phone with a familiar Nokia design with the familiar navigation button and keys underneath. Also present were stereo speakers and an FM radio. You could swap out the 1100 mAh battery. At the front was a 1.8-inch display with a resolution of 160 x 128 pixels. The price of the device was around 200-250 euros.
