LG KG800 Chocolate
In 2006, the LG KG800 Chocolate was announced, a phone you will probably recognise after seeing the picture. The phone was very popular among youngsters and featured a slider design and touch-sensitive keys. Twenty years later, we take another look at the stylish device.

Below the 2.0-inch display (which it had a resolution of 220 x 176 pixels) were several touch-sensitive keys, with the OK key in the centre. In addition, you could slide out the device where the keyboard popped up. Despite being over 15 centimetres thick, the device weighed just over 80 grams.
The LG KG800 Chocolate featured a 1.3 megapixel camera with LED flash (!). The device also let you film in QCIF resolution, which is 174 x 144 pixels. In terms of storage space, you had 128MB at your disposal and this was not expandable. The battery capacity was 800 mAh.

The device had some notable limitations. The calendar could hold a maximum of 20 items, so it could not hold many birthdays and appointments. In addition, the memo function was also limited to a maximum of 20 notes and the voice recorder was capable of recording a maximum of 20 seconds. In addition, the device was not as stable when it came to the software, a problem LG often suffered from in the past.
In 2006, the LG KG800 Chocolate appeared at a price of around 450 euros. So you did have to dig relatively deep into your pockets for this piece of beauty. This price did drop over time with the phone also becoming interestingly priced in the prepaid segment. The phone appeared in different colours; black, white, pink and 'wine'.
