The forgotten phone: LG KF310

Sometimes you have those phones that you never actually think about later. This is probably the case for many with the LG KF310. Released in 2008, this 3G phone was a hit in the prepaid segment. The phone had a fresh design, and we discuss it today in...

LG KF310

When you hear the name LG KF310, most people won't immediately have a light bulb come on. LG released several phones in the KF series. The lower the first three-digit number, the lower it was positioned in the market. So too was the LG KF310, which caught on with the general public because the phone was often highlighted by providers. The phone series was described as practical, and a good choice for a wide audience. Because it was usually included in an interesting prepaid package by providers, you could come across it a lot at the time.

The phone was a so-called slider, which was therefore a sliding phone. It had support for 3G and, of course, text messaging, as we often did back then. The LG KF310 came in black and white, with a 900 mAh battery keeping things active. The LG featured a 2.0-inch screen of 220 x 176 pixels. Below the screen was the navigation key and some control buttons. Once slid open, you found another camera key above the numeric keys. That way, you could quickly launch the 2 megapixel, for taking a picture. On top of that, the LG KF310 was still equipped with a VGA camera, or a 0.3 megapixel lens.

In terms of options, the LG was not particularly extensive. On board, there was room for 40MB for storing your photos, for example. In addition, the phone offered a memory card slot for a microSD memory card.
