First reports of new OnePlus Nord 5 appear: huge battery

OnePlus' new mid-end device is on the way. The smartphone will come out under the name OnePlus Nord 5. That phone has now surfaced in the rumour circuit, with us finding out the first details about the smartphone.

OnePlus Nord 5 specifications leaked

The first specifications of the new OnePlus Nord 5 have surfaced online. The manufacturer is expected to present the new device sometime in the coming months. This marks the arrival of a successor to the OnePlus Nord 4, which was announced by the manufacturer in Milan last year.

First of all, OnePlus' new device will come with a hefty battery capacity. There is talk of a battery of as much as 7000 mAh. You could charge this one with 100W. Another striking thing is the materials used with the device. The Nord 4 was launched with much fanfare with a metal body; we won't see that with the new device, it seems. There is talk of a glass back, with a side made of plastic.

The OnePlus Nord 5 is said to feature a 6.77-inch screen, with a 1.5K resolution. The chipset inside the device is a Dimensity 9400e chipset from MediaTek. There is also a 50-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 16-megapixel front camera.

OnePlus has yet to share any information on when we will hear more about the OnePlus Nord 5.
