Circle to Search gets 'Scroll and translate' feature: first for Samsung

A new feature is on the way for Circle to Search. The feature should make it easier to scroll through on-screen content and then translate it directly. The new translation feature is coming to Samsung devices first.

Scroll and translate

Circle to Search is a handy feature that lets you quickly look up on-screen content. That one little table, or a familiar building you want to know more about; circle it and Google will give you more information. A new feature is now on the way that can translate content while scrolling. This option is also part of Circle to Search and can be accessed in a similar way.

Thanks to the option to translate as you scroll, you no longer have to restart the translation process every time. Google not only shows you translations continuously as you scroll through a feed or a web page, but also when you switch apps, Google knows how to handle it. Also, the colourful border remains visible, making it clear that the feature is active. You can see how the feature works above.

Interestingly, Google indicates that the feature will come to several Samsung devices first. Which devices these are, it is not immediately made clear, but we expect the latest foldables and Galaxy S25 series. Later, more devices will get the new feature.
