Camera comparison OnePlus 15 - OnePlus 13 - Google Pixel 10 Pro XL
For many smartphone buyers, the camera is one of the most important parts for a new smartphone. For those holiday snaps or days out, you no longer have to lug around a whole camera, you can just use the phone. What's important then is that the camera is good. We test that extensively in every review on DroidApp. In our extensive OnePlus 15 review, published last week, we already compared the phone's camera to that of the Pixel 10 Pro XL and the predecessor of 'the 15', the OnePlus 13.
In this article, we have again put the necessary photos side by side, and look at which smartphone takes the best pictures. What about the differences between the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 15, and how does the OnePlus 15 hold up against another very good camera phone: the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL?

The best comparison can only be made when all three devices are side by side. And that's what we did recently. Under different conditions, we compared the camera of the Pixel and the two OnePlus models. In the pictures below, you can clearly see the differences.
Daytime
During the day, we notice that the colours of the photos coming out of the OnePlus 15 are clearly more colourful than those of the OnePlus 13. We think the differences between these two models are quite significant. Looking at the photos from the Pixel 10 Pro XL (whose camera is similar to that of the Pixel 10 Pro), we also see a nice balance of colours here. In the third photo, with the lake, it is noticeable that the '13' looks a bit more flatter, where the sky is a bit bluer with the '15', while the Pixel seems to capture the image more naturally.
In the fourth picture with the forest path, it is noticeable that there are differences between the three models, but that it is mostly a matter of personal taste. The Pixel is a bit oversaturated with colours, where that of the OnePlus 15 is a bit more nuanced. Again, the OnePlus 13 looks a lot more flattering here. The fifth photo, with the dangling cart, shows similar results, though we think the Pixel's photo is a bit calmer than that of the OnePlus 15.
Evening
According to OnePlus, the OnePlus 15 camera is capable of capturing text even better in the dark, the brand promised at the prebriefing in Prague. We tested that, of course. First, the photo with 'Welcome to Groningen'. As for this luminous text, the OnePlus 15 clearly does better. We see the same with the streetlights. These 'glow' a bit more on the other two devices.
Looking at the intersection, with the supermarket on the corner, we don't see huge differences. The Pixel looks a bit more yellow, the 13 and the 15 do not differ much. In the photo with Bartje's statue, we hardly see any difference, while zoomed in on the taxi rank, the OnePlus 15 again shows the power with the luminous text. Larger differences are again seen in the photo of the street lamp on the left side of the screen. The sky is more 'bluish' in the OnePlus 13 while it is mostly black in the Pixel 10 Pro XL. In contrast, here the OnePlus 15 is more yellowish in colour and the Pixel shows more detail in the grass and street.

The winner
Picking a direct winner is difficult. After all, it is partly a matter of personal preference. We can say that the OnePlus 15 shows improvements on the OnePlus 13. However, the OnePlus 15 often opts for the slightly warmer tones, especially during the day, where the Pixel is more neutral. Want to know what else we think of the phones?
