Huge Amazon outage shuts down many apps like Signal, Duolingo and Snapchat, Ring

A major glitch on Amazon's web services, is causing a large number of well-known apps to be down. These include services such as Snapchat, Signal and Ring, as well as Slack and Prime Video.

Outage at AWS has major impact

Several applications and services have been experiencing problems since Monday morning. This is an outage at Amazon Web Services, rendering several apps and websites inaccessible. The problems reportedly started around 09:00 Dutch time, and the outage is still continuing.

Duolingo storing

There are several apps and services using AWS. These include Signal, Snapchat, Roblox and Slack, as well as Ring and Amazon services such as Prime Video and Alexa. Several cloud services, including Atlassian and Docker are also affected by the outage. The glitch in the apps and services are preventing you from using the app; for instance, Snapchat remains inaccessible and sending and receiving messages in Signal also fails.

On AlleStoringen, it is reported that other services like Fortnite, Canva, MyFitnessPal, ClashRoyale, WordOn, Tidal, Life360, Duolingo, Hay Day and others are also suffering from the outage.
